YOU KNOW YOU HAD A PARTY LIKE THIS

Nigerian Birthday Party

Found these clips of a birthday party on You Tube. That little girl in yellow reminds me of me when I had my own birthday bash at 10. The only real birthday party I have ever had. Complete with my pink cinderella doll cake, of which there were 3, my red balloon dress and matching shoe, bag and hat and chopper bicycle. Dawg, I was rolling high SISI then oh. Believe!! And you know what somgs were reigning back then? Danny Wilson's 'Ragamuffin', Blaccky 'Bang Belly', Mc Hammer's 'pray' and 'hammertime' and of course Shina Peter's 'Afro-Juju'. And you know my dad had to throw in some Oliver De Coque and Osita. Ma worry, I am looking forward to 30 already. By the grace of God I will be making up for the 20 yrs without a birthday bash. Don't care what anyone says but seriously as in SCREW THE WEDDING because I don't see my self having 'that bash' by 30 so why deprive my self any further...lol. Anyways check it out, complete with the always annoying nigerian clown. That just ain't funny dude. Watching the video, I am amused and then again it makes you think whether these kids and the adults realize that some of their dance moves are provocative (as in won't you get slapped for dancing like that back then). But then again, that's really most dance moves. What do you remember form your own brithday bash from way back when? What were the highlights?

Loved b'day parties/"aunty gimme cake" Parties..Couldnt wait to get home and look to see what was in the party packs! Dancing competions were my fav..I used to love to out dance my cousin and friends...Addy I was bad back then. But my dear, how far with these young girls in the video gyrating and dancing like grownups? They are talented little Butter cups but damn that chick in yellow and the other one in the white shirt can sure tear up the dance floor! Parents dont let your babies become pole dancers and clear heel wearers! LOL

  4. i mean, are you surprised?? hear the song they are playing for them: kerewa!? but you know, maybe they are tiv children, in which case we need not worry, because those ones are raised to know the meaning of sex before they even knack puberty! lol...i'm kiddin', i'm kiddin'...you know i love The Tiv ;-).

but yeah, this certainly is shocking that the parents would allow their kids dance like this, and then when somebody rapes their little girl (or boy), they will be wondering how and why. even now, i can't be dancing like this in front of my elders...the disapproving shakes of their heads and their "so singto, you have been an ashewo all along" will provoke me to tears.

I will have to disagree with some of you on this. This is not excuse for anyone to rape anyone. The clothes you wear or the kind of dances you do does not give anyone the right to take you by force.

I find this video funny actually
These kids can really move to the beat
Now about their dance move.. they're doing what they saw on tv. For a min, I was like whooo she did that better than me. Dancing does not define you. It's not like they party everyday. Let them have fun.
