OLAMIDE'S BLOG

Sad a beautiful and intelligent young woman with a promising future fell prey to callous predators that roam this earth. Why would anybody do something so evil. Fine he probably had his way with her, but to take away her life too...I wonder what goes on in the minds of these psychotic people. Anyways, nothing is hidden under the sun, God is watching and whoever did this will receive His full wrath. As they say in yoruba 'sun re o'...may the good Lord cradle you in His bosoms, my dear Nigerian sister.

May her soul rest in peace. (Amen)
I prayh that her family and friends will be comforted at this time and the Lord will give them the fortitude to bear their loss.

Update: There may be a break in this case. It seems that a Maurice Lashon Wallace has been arrested and is being held in Atlanta, Ga. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant stemming from an incident that occurred in Normal, IL (same place Olamide attended school and lived). He has been named as a person of interest in the case. He is believed to have been the direct neighbor (lived in the same apartment building as she did--right next door) of Olamide.

This character has a long criminal record. One that included harrassing a woman.

The story is just so sad. I have followed it since I first heard about it. I'm very disappointed that the news agencies haven't been on top of this story. Still it's good to know that the police departments haven't forgotten about her. I hope justice is done here. I know that one is innocent until proven guilty. Let's see how things unravel with Mr. Wallace.

Just wanted to share.

I just read this blog about olamide. I am an Illinois State University student like she was, i didn't know her that well personally, but we met once or twice. The sad thing is that i knew her killer, he had this thing for African woman- it's almost surreal that the person i used to say "Hi" to did such a thing. May her soul rest in peace.
